JOB TITLE: Accounting Associate A/P
Description: Provide primary responsibility for all phases of accounts payable processing including, vendor file maintenance, invoice and payment requisition processing, check issuance and remittance, 1099 record maintenance, and accounts payable records management. Assist with income tax record maintenance and filing. Maintain property management records, and various other tasks relating to Finance functions. Provide effective communication regarding accounts payable issues with vendors and Company.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate and complete entire accounts payable process within designated deadlines by working effectively with multiple individuals in a highly tactful yet precise and professional manner.
  • Exercise judgment in evaluating completeness and accuracy of invoices submitted for payment. This ability would include discrepancy identification, determination and implementation of corrective action to resolve errors of self and others involving invoice coding, encumbrance designation, and application of payment descriptions and categories.
  • Accurately and efficiently input data into a computer and detect and correct data entry errors at time of data entry.
  • Understand and apply basic accounting principals relating to accounts payable including payment reconciliation.
  • Thrive in a team environment by working effectively and creatively with clients, vendors and all levels of Company personnel.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices prior to payment. This involves checking the GL coding, to assure charging the appropriate account, totaling the charges to verify the amount is correct and that authorization for payment is on the invoice, and verifying that payment has not previously been made.
  • Monitor status of statement billings to ensure timely payment requests from Departments.
  • Provide accurate data entry of all invoices into the computer to assure payment in a timely manner to avoid late charges and effect on time discount.
  • Monitor and initiate approval process. Maintain and update the vendor file with changes in addresses, phone numbers and tax identification numbers.
  • Administer internal controls for accounts payable as required.
  • Maintain property management records. Obtain all required information from departments for additions, deletions, transfers and changes to fixed assets. (As needed)
  • Compile and maintain procedural manual for all job tasks. (As needed)
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with vendors in reference to their accounts. Research discrepancies in payments and vendor billings and effect problem resolution where necessary.
  • Accurately file and maintain records after processing and ensures ease of retrieval. (As needed)
  • Display creativity by developing new and streamlined methods of accomplishing assigned tasks. (As needed)
  • Perform other related accounting functions as required. (As needed)

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or other degree, or Associate of Arts degree plus one year accounts payable work experience required or; Technical training in closely related field and two years or more accounts payable work experience may be substituted for education requirements.

JOB TITLE: Assistant Portfolio Manager
Description: Manages structured equity portfolios maximizing tax efficiency while tracking an index. Portfolio managers act as investment "engineers" — creating portfolios using optimization software to implement firm’s quantitative-based strategy. The Assistant Portfolio Manager must continually measure performance, manage risk and control costs within the accounts being managed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Construct optimized equity index portfolios for separate accounts
  • Rebalance and transition portfolios to maximize tax-efficiency
  • Construct custom benchmark data
  • Monitor index changes and corporate actions
  • Generate after-tax return data for both portfolios and benchmarks
  • Performance attribution
  • Generate client reports, respond to client requests for analysis
  • Interact across teams including Technology, Research, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations
  • Participate in process improvement and technology development efforts

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with academic financial theory and applications
  • Working knowledge of equity risk models and portfolio optimizer
  • Analytical writing ability
  • Bachelor’s (4yr) degree w/ concentration in finance, accounting, engineering or related quantitative focus
  • CFA and/or MBA preferred
  • Preferred 4+ years professional experience in investment management or similar.

JOB TITLE: Portfolio Accountant
Description: Parametric seeks an energetic individual to join their Operations department. This position involves reconciling client portfolios against custodial statements. The Portfolio Accountant will resolve variances in security positions, communicate portfolio activity, and validate portfolio tax cost and attribution.

JOB TITLE: Account Services Associate
Description: This individual will work with the operations, marketing, and portfolio management teams, as well as the financial advisor to coordinate new client account information.

Technical Duties:
  • Compiling information for new accounts from custodians, broker/dealers, RIAs, FAs
  • Answering specific questions related to new account processing and those related to existing accounts
  • Populating proprietary software with new account details
  • Managing various stages of new accounts over many different channels/sponsors.
  • Data entry of new account positions and familiarity with Advent import functionality, pricing, new account securities, etc
  • Researching discrepancies for new & existing accounts

JOB TITLE: Buy-side Assistant Trader
Description: This individual will be responsible for managing settlement issues from foreign and domestic equity trades, along with occasional foreign currency transactions. Secondary responsibility will helping out the trade desk with domestic trade executions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring failing trades are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Maintains day-to-day relationships with wide range of external custodians and brokers
  • Provides updates to senior traders on any settlement issues
  • Executes domestic trades as needed during periods of high volume trading
  • Works to improve the settlement process with our brokers and custodians

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of financial services industry
  • Knowledge of APL and Bloomberg systems
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
